TGIF to Everyone!
I hope everyone has enjoyed the start of summer. It’s hard to believe it’s June already. Do you have anything fun planned for the weekend?
In Fond du Lac, this weekend is always Walleye Weekend. What is Walleye Weekend you ask? It takes place at Lakeside Park on Lake Winnebago. It’s a fishing tournament, bands & music, soccer, basketball, fun land for the kids, run/walk, fabulous food, drinks, fun, laughter, did I mention food? Cream puffs, cheese curds, walleye fish fry, walleye sandwiches, corn on the cob, ice cream, burgers, fries, brats and so much more. Here is a link if you are in the area and want to check it out, Walleye Weekend.
My daughters, Kiley and Mackenzie have offered to plant these flowers for me. Mackenzie and Mr. B went one night this week to pick out the flowers. Mackenie chose the color scheme, corals, pinks and purples. Mr. B would have picked a different color scheme, lol.
I will be gathering with a group of friends this week and we are going to do some freezer cooking. If you are not familiar with freezer cooking, it’s basically making a bunch of recipes that can go in the freezer. At a later date, you pull the meal out and throw it in a slow cooker or heat and eat. Perfect idea for busy families. I will be sharing photos and recipes at a later date. I’m going to make one recipe ahead of time, BBQ Pulled Pork.
Here are Olives and Oscars, best buds…..
